The Asylum procedure advice for adults and families as part of the AMIF project "Development and implementation of quality standards in the reception of asylum seekers" is aimed at:

  • Asylum seekers,
  • Asylum seekers who are still in the asylum process
  • Rejected asylum seekers who want to take legal action against the BAMF rejection notice or who are already in the process of taking legal action,
  • Persons entitled to subsidiary protection who wish to take legal action against the BAMF partial rejection decision or who are already in the process of taking legal action.
The procedural advice includes:

  • Information on the asylum procedure and, if applicable, alternatives to the asylum procedure,
  • Explanation of the material requirements of the individual protection titles in the asylum procedure,
  • Explanation of special procedural guarantees for persons in need of special protection (according to Directive 2013/32/EU (Asylum Procedures Directive),
  • Preparation and follow-up of the asylum hearing,
  • Explanation of the content and the positive/negative legal consequences of the BAMF decision,
  • Explanation of possible legal remedies against (partial) rejection,
  • Support in filing appeals (lawsuit and § 80V application, if necessary, consideration of management reports and court decisions).
The social law advice includes:

  • Advice on the distribution system in the asylum procedure, if necessary support with cross-border redistribution to create family unity,
  • Support in applying for benefits according to the AsylbLG,
  • Referral to doctors and psychologists if medical care is required,
  • Advice on access to language courses (explanation of language course systems, offers for different target groups) and educational offers.
