On September 20, a broad alliance, supported by hundreds of Afghan refugees and the Afghanistan Action Group, started a one-week symbolic protest action in front of the Foreign Office, during which around 500 letters from the refugees present to the Federal Foreign Office asked for support and admission of their relatives who remained in Afghanistan were judged in Germany.
With our joint action, we showed our solidarity with a vigil by two Afghan refugees who had previously been demonstrating for their families in front of the Federal Foreign Office for five weeks
Unfortunately, the office promptly responded negatively with reference to closed evacuation lists.
We cannot accept that.
We need a generous admission program for 50.000 Afghan people who should come to Germany to join their relatives.
Human rights instead of bureaucratic lists!
