From January 17.01.24, XNUMX, our mobile advisory team, the BBZ advisory bus, will be regularly on site at the UA TXL accommodation in the disused Tegel Airport.
With a current occupancy of around 5.000 people, the accommodation is the largest mass accommodation in Germany. The capacity is to be expanded to around 7.000 places by the end of the year. Once an arrival center for people from Ukraine, around 1.500 people from other countries of origin currently live there.
Residents report a lack of security, inadequate accommodation in tents and in too small a space, cold, isolation from the city, lack of gender separation and shelters for those in particular need of protection.
From January 17.01.24, 14 we will be on site every two weeks on Wednesdays, from 16.30 p.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.mto answer people's questions about rights, asylum, residence, work, education and psychosocial support.
