We congratulate our colleague Mohammed Jouni on being awarded the Federal Cross of Merit. The award was presented to him on November 8th to honor his tireless work for the rights of refugees. For years, Mohammed Jouni has been campaigning for the rights and empowerment of young refugees in different contexts with a critical voice and intransigence. He is a co-founder of Youth Without Borders (JoG) and works as a social worker at the BBZ – Counseling and Care Center for young refugees and migrants. In interviews, Mohammed Jouni spoke about his political work and critically contextualized the award.
